I like design of the outfit and the silhouette it produces. The addition of the red markings gives it a nice pop. If you are going for functionality I see no reason to have the straps hang off nor have the fingers exposed so much. Unless they are some explorer or solider, usually only the trigger and secondary fingers are exposed to the elements.
